a mother's mani

Ok I am officially going to do my first blog commercial. The other day I was waiting for a car repair flipping through some style magazines and I saw a review of a new product Sally Hansen Insta-dri fast dry nail color. It sounded too good to be true so I bought a bottle to try. I haven't painted my nails since I had the baby because honestly who has time?! Now I do. The brush is big and perfectly shaped so you make one or two strokes per nail and it gives complete coverage. It is awesome, even with a shaky left hand my nails look perfect and they dried in literally 60 seconds. Ladies, that means if you have a minute and a half you have time to do your nails for reals! Go buy yourself a bottle and thank me later. p.s. The magazines said deep plum was the color for fall so I purchased pronto purple and am loving it!

Now and Then

I have been waiting for the moment that Sawyer was old enough for me to take this picture. We took one of Saylor like this at 3 months and it is one of our favorite baby pictures. ( I am pretty sure it is still my mom's screen saver). Here was Saylor at 3 mo. February 2005:

And now here is little brother Sawyer ( I should say big little brother since he has at least 5 pounds on her at this age!)

In my head I think my kids look just alike, but as I compare these pictures I am not so sure. i do, however, know that they are both adorable! Go Cougs!

Lately

I just couldn't resist posting this picture of my two sports fans. OK, the term sports is being used loosely here since they are watching one of Saylor's tiny tot soccer games, but how cute is Sawyer in a hat?!

Thanks to a friend's recommendation, I took the kiddies to see the elephant parade at The Gateway. It is a kick off to the circus being in town, and at 2 minutes and thirty seconds, it is the shortest parade I have ever been to. Luckily Saylor thought it was well worth attending. Here is what we saw:Saylor was standing here in anticipation. She is really into "Kangaroo Care" these days, she always keeps some stuffed animal tucked in her shirt during her other activities. They recommended this kind of contact when I had Sawyer to improve the bonding or something so I guess Saylor and baby bunny are going to be really tight now.

The real excitement was coming home with another item for the dress up box:
